Tim Pawlenty Drops out of Presidential Race

It doesn't suprise me that Tim Pawlenty dropped out of the presidential race today. One could tell that he was running desperate of late by an through his attacks on Michele Bachmann. Truth be told, Pawlenty should have been more concerned of his liberal record than what Bachmann has "not" done as a member of Congress. For one, Pawlenty was a environmental liberal. Moreover, he was one of John McCain's most vocal supporters. That speaks a lot. This country is in need of a real conservative and Pawlenty is not one.

I will applaud Pawlenty's record of not raising income taxes while he was governor of Minnesota, but least we not forget he raised taxes under the auspicious of a cigarette fee. The addition of Rick Perry to the race will make it interesting. I would bet to say it is down to a three way race between Bachmann, Romney and Perry. But we are a long way away from the convention, anything can change.

Nuclear Disclosure

Why in the name of everything good would the Obama administration want to disclose our nuclear arsenal to the world?? Why oh why?

I think the answer is, besides hating America and no further evidence is needed than the total take over of American business, is that this administration is group of elite, naive little idiots who are over-trusting with the ruthless dictators of the world. They listen to Iran and believe what is said; North Korea is a heavenly vacation spot. Cuba, hey America and Cuba, what's the difference?

Again, Why oh why?

Executive Compensation in the Cross-Hairs

Washington , DC – Today, the House of Representatives approved legislation to rein in compensation practices that encourage excessive risk-taking at the expense of companies, shareholders, employees, and ultimately the American taxpayer. H.R. 3269, the Corporate and Financial Institution Compensation Fairness Act, was approved by a vote of 237-185. It represents the first piece of a larger regulatory reform package being crafted by the Financial Services Committee to address the causes of the recent financial crisis. A summary of H.R. 3269 can be viewed here.

We are slowly eroding the freedoms that make this country great. If this legislation becomes law, federal regulators can have a say in how much executives are making. They, Mr or Mrs "government know-it-all" can dictate how much executives can earn. It won't matter the CEO's background or the challenges they face, or if they are successful, all it would take is someone saying what the executive makes is "unfair" then the shareholders and a government bureaucrat will have a say.

One of my biggest gripes is the same idiots making these laws are the ones that created the problem in the first place: affordable housing, risky lending (Community Reinvestment Act), and over-regulation.

In the end, while I don't disagree that shareholders should have some say, LEAVE GOVERNMENT OUT OF PRIVATE BUSINESS!!!!!
